Hey there! I’m Bre Paulson, creator of Bre Pea and fellow thrifty DIYer and busy bee.
If you’ve ever said any of the following:
“I don’t need to buy this, I’ll just make it myself.”
“Thanks, I got it at a thrift store!”
“I’m always working on a project.”
“I DIY so we have extra money to travel!”
“I can totally make that for you.”
… then you’re in the right place!
Ok, but what is a “Bre Pea”?
Then, along came Bean (our nickname for our daughter) in 2011 and in came the family-oriented content.
I started Bre Pea (originally Peacoats & Plaid) waaaaaay back in 2010. These were my pre-Pinterest days and I wanted a way to keep track of and journal all of my home decor and crafting projects.
After 4 years under the blog’s original brand, I felt the urge to make a change and get more clarity on where I was going with it. After all, doesn’t Peacoats & Plaid sound like it should be a fashion blog?!
After many days of brainstorming and contemplation, I came up with the new name: Bre Pea
Bre comes from, duh, my first name. Pea is an homage to my old blog (peacoats), and also ties in with my last initial. Hence… BRE PEA.
Bre Pea is all about the DIY and creative life. From thrifting, to crafting, to family adventures, you will find all of this and more!
