Mix-and-Match Cross Training Plan for Runners

Because Bean is still taking daily naps (at least, in a perfect world they happen daily), I use our video monitor constantly.

I have been a big fan of Levana ever since we had to replace a VERY expensive video monitor after it pretty much broke itself just through daily use and the company never answered our requests for a new one through the warranty. That company shall go unnamed for now.

I like to exercise (or “work out” as Bean calls it) during Bean’s nap time since I’m definitely not one to wake up extra early in the mornings to do it. Most of the time I’ll go for a run on the treadmill.

Because our treadmill is on the lowest level, I always make sure to have our Levana Keera PTZ video monitor with me in case she gets up for the millionth time to “go potty”. Thanks to Levana, I can run more knowing Bean is safe!

I’m always trying to mix things up with my running routine so that I don’t get bored. I also find that I have a hard time sticking with other people’s workout routines. So, I made my own!

I was super, duper excited to try out the Keera PTZ Baby Video Monitor during my latest run, especially because it has a feature that I wish all of my old monitors had: a smooth and silent pan/tilt/zoom camera!

Not to mention the ability to take photos AND video, perfect for all of those times I find Bean being adorable and singing herself to sleep. Other awesome features:

  • 10 hour battery life in PEEP mode
  • 3.5″ touch panel
  • two-way communication (which I use to gently remind Bean that, “it’s time to go to sleep” when she’s getting out of her bed to grab toys and books)
  • digital signal up to 750 ft away (perfect for when we have our backyard bonfires!)
  • 3 soothing lullabies (which, now that Bean is older, we use a lot when she’s having a tough time falling asleep at night)
  • invisible LED night vision
  • smart LED indicator ring that changes color with the sound of your child’s voice

Summers are an especially good time to have a quality video monitor. We bring ours up north to the cabin so that we can have outdoor fun with the other “adults” after we put Bean to bed.

  1. I do not have any kids yet but there is one on the way! I have been back and forth on what kind of monitor I want to get but this would be perfect!
