A Day That Will Go Down in History: Halloween 2015
I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Panasonic. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. #4KPhoto #4KFun
It started as any other Halloween weekend, or any other Halloween weekend for lame parents such as ourselves 😉 We leisurely spent our Friday night carving traditional pumpkins (because I just didn’t have the energy to do the crazy intricate stuff we usually do) and having a relaxing evening at home. I took this photo of Bean and the pumpkin with my Panasonic LUMIX G7, I love how it captured the glow!
Though she was apprehensive at first, Bean got into pulling the guts out of the pumpkin that Dad had scraped. I, of course, did the carving. After a little pumpkin fun, it was off to bed. We knew that at 11:00 AM the next day we would be embarking on a grueling seven house tour of potential new homes and wanted to be well rested.
The next afternoon, once we finished our intensive house hunting tour, we scrambled to get Bean home so that she could take a nap before the evening festivities. To our (and her) luck, she managed to sneak in a quick nap before it was time for me to paint her up like a creepy skeleton. My husband took over as photographer so that I could do the makeup. The great thing about my Panasonic LUMIX G7 is how easy it is to use.
First we snapped a quick family portrait and took off to snag some candy! But then, the sky did this…
What was once a partly cloudy sky was suddenly ablaze with bright oranges, peaches, and purples. It was like the sky was saying, “Happy Halloween!”
We made a quick pit stop in the backyard so I could snap some photos of the gorgeous sky. Bean took the time to burn off some energy (which later resulted in us having to carry her home). I was using my Panasonic LUMIX G7 and had some fun taking 4K photos. It takes the BEST action shots because you can just pick and choose which moment you like best! It has a touch-enabled monitor that allows you to extract the moment from the 4K photo. I am obsessed.
After a few minutes, and one last shot when the sky was almost totally orange, we were finally on our way trick or treating. That amazing 4K Start/Stop mode allowed me to capture Bean right as she was shouting, “Boo!” But then, it poured. Luckily for only about 10 minutes, but just enough to get us good and wet before a chilly night of walking the streets in search of candy.
You might be asking, but why will this Halloween go down in history? It just so happens that one of those seven houses that we toured ended up being our dream house. We are currently in negotiations with the owners and scrambling to get our house on the market. If you’re reading this, send some good vibes our way that everything pans out!
How was your Halloween? And do you have any tips for first time home sellers? I would love to hear them in the comments below!
