The easiest and most delicious gluten-free chocolate chip cookies EVER
I may be biased since these are the first gluten-free chocolate chip cookies I have ever had, BUT they can totally hold their own against my grandma’s recipe for chocolate chip cookies. And that recipe is dang good. Honestly, these were DELICIOUS. Even my non gluten-free husband loved them. So, what recipe did I use?
Surprise! It’s from a box! All you need is this magical box and 3 other ingredients:
- stick of butter
- egg
- 1 tsp. gluten-free vanilla
First, mix the egg, softened stick of butter, and vanilla. I finally had an excuse to use my stand mixer I got for Christmas.
Add in the cookie mix and combine. The box said it would be “crumbly”. I must like crumbly cookie dough because it was the same consistency as my grandma’s cookie recipe.
Drop by rounded 2 tsp. sized balls. I like my cookies to be even (hey, I’m a perfectionist) so I shape them by hand.
Bake according to the directions. I like my cookies to be chewy, so I took them out at the first sign that they were turning brown on the edges.
Serve with a gigantic glass of milk, the only way to eat chocolate chip cookies. I like my cookies fresh, but I have found that microwaving them for 7 seconds on high in the microwave makes them taste like they just came out of the oven.
I can not recommend this cookie mix enough. I first tried Betty Crocker’s gluten-free flour for baking and was completely pleased with the results, so I decided to give their gluten-free baking mixes a try. A+ in my book. Next to try, Betty Crocker’s Gluten-Free Sugar Cookie mix.
I'm not even gluten-free and these look amazing!
Thanks for your honesty, I've only written 3 patterns so I'm still trying to find my rhythm. I appreciate the feedback and I'll try to get the snags worked out this weekend.
They SO are. I'm going to have to restrain myself from making too many!
Hi Bre, the headband is absolutely adorable, but I have to agree a little bit with Luna. I've tried it several times and it does not turn into a heart shape. I think I already made a mistake on instruction nr2, cause it does not look like a square, more like a circle with holes in it. I hope you can make the instructions more clear, because I would love to show the result on my own head.
I've got a more detailed pattern written, I'll be updating it tonight! I'll send you an email when i do.
Have you tried the Immaculate company choc chip cookies? So awesome. I just bought some choc brownie cookies by them too, but haven't tried them yet.
I have not, I might have to now!
