Easy End Of The Year Succulent Teacher Gift
My baby girl graduates from her first year of preschool this Thursday. Where in the world have the last 4 years gone?
Anyways, I knew I wanted to give her teachers a year end gift, but because there are 5 of them I always struggle figuring out what to give them. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, but I don’t want to give them something useless either. Then, I looked at the dozens of propagated succulents that I had lying around and instantly knew what I would do. Here’s what I did and how you can make your own…
Easy End of Year Succulent Teacher Gift
You’ll need…
- Jars/cups/containers of any kind
- Succulents
- Decorative rocks
- Potting soil
- White cardstock
- Free printable “Thank you for helping me grow”
- String
- Spray paint (if you don’t like the color of your containers already)
STEP ONE
If you want your containers to be a different color than they already are (which I did), give them a few coats of spray paint and let them dry well. I used punch goblets I found at a thrift store for $1.99.
STEP TWO
Fill the containers very full with potting soil.
STEP THREE
Lay the decorative rocks around the edge leaving a circle in the middle for the succulent.
STEP FOUR
Place your succulent in the center making sure the stem goes down into the soil. Give the succulent a little spritz of water to help it settle into the new container.
STEP FIVE
Print out these free labels to attach to your gifts, cut them out, and then attach with string. I used baker’s twine.
These were the easiest gifts to make! And the best part, for 5 gifts I spent a grand total of $3.98 which means each gift cost just $0.79! I can’t wait to have Bean give them to her teachers this week. Succulents are the gift that keeps on giving 🙂
