Family Videos: It Started As Harmless Fun…

We were at the cabin enjoying Memorial Weekend. The forecast wasn’t the greatest, but we didn’t care. We were looking forward to unplugging, unwinding, and spending way too much time staring at logs burning in a fire pit.

An OK day weather wise turned into a gorgeous night, so we decided to take a little walk to a place that we could all enjoy the sunset.

We headed down to the beach so that the “kids” aka Bean and her BFF Karly could splash around a little in the water while the adults enjoyed the view.

What started as just a little splash quickly turned into, “Mom, my sweatshirt is getting wet!” to me realizing that Bean was now sitting flat on her butt in the chilly water.

Well, if she’s already wet I might as well let her have fun, right?

Yeah, you could say that Bean enjoyed herself.

After recent events of the last few weeks, I am really looking forward to another weekend at the cabin. This time we’re bringing Gilly.

But before that, we’re taking Bean to Valleyfair for the very first time today! I grew up going to Valleyfair as a kid, one of the companies that my Dad worked for used to have their company picnic there every year. I LOVE going to Valleyfair during summer vacation and I can’t wait to introduce Bean to all of the family fun that they offer 🙂 Stay tuned…
