Getting back to normal.

new york city times square
So my week long blogging sabbatical turned into a 2 week one. Trust me, it was so needed. I went from 6 days in New York City for a dance teacher’s summit and immediately dove into 5 days of boot camp with my dance kids. Ok, maybe there was a day or 2 off in between and time to go to the park. Once.

But seriously, I feel like I have been absent from the real world for over 2 weeks now, let alone the “blogging world”. The transition from summer back into the next dance season is always a little tough, but this one has been especially crazy. Luckily, I start my new schedule next week. I am such a creature of habit that adjustments like these tend to throw me for a loop, but once I get used to it everything’s a-ok. I’m definitely at the point where I’m craving predictability, hard-core. How do you deal with change?

  1. We're just getting ready to transition back into school routines and hockey schedules. Even though we've been doing this for years, it still throws me for a loop every time the end of August rolls around. I could use a few more weeks of summer down-time before jumping back into the fray!

All the best with your new dance season 🙂

  2. We have about 3 weeks give or take until pre-school starts here, but I am honestly not looking forward to summer being gone. I like the warmer weather and know taking two kids to pre-school everyday is going to be a bit hectic. But I know in the end it will be fine, just dealing with the initial change that will probably give me more anxiety then anything else. Nice to see you back though and glad you had such a great time off!! 🙂

  3. Wow! My greatest wish in my life is to see New York!! I envy you that you were already there.

  4. I should feel pretty lucky that I live so close. Although I had fun, I'm definitely not a “city” girl. It was so good to come home and take a huge breath of fresh air, New York sure is stinky!
