Hey, I actually want to make this part 2.
We’re all guilty of it, pinning project after project and completing almost none of them. Since the last time I compiled a “Hey, I actually want to make this” post I have completed 2 of the 5. Not so bad, but at least the other 3 are still in the forefront of my mind instead of lost in the Pinterest shuffle. Here’s to making more awesome things!
I have acquired a small collection of fuzzy blankets. I would have a ridiculous amount if I didn’t have an iron-clad willpower. I like to keep them in the living room for easy access, but unfortunately I don’t have a spot for them other than draped over the arm of the love seat and recliner. If you’ve got kids in the house, you know that lasts for about as long as the kids are napping. If I had this blanket ladder, I could keep them tidy, easy to grab, and it would also add to the living room decor.
I see neon lights everywhere nowadays. Especially in cute or ironic phrases. I’m not sure what I would want it to say, but I’m always on the lookout for unique and unusual wall art ideas and this seemed to fit the bill quite well. It’s made out of something called EL wire. I had never heard of it before, I am fascinated!
We discovered sidewalk chalk paint last spring and I think I had more fun with it than Bean did! Although I used a store-bought product I was pretty sure there was a way to make it yourself. Then you can make it in an unlimited variety of colors. I can’t wait to give this recipe a try.
I never know where to put our laundry hampers. Our walk in closet is way too small (it’s barely large enough to be considered “walk-in”) and the plastic hampers that we have are too ugly to sit around the bedroom. With this pillowcase laundry hamper tutorial I think I could get away with leaving it out for anyone who wanders into the bedroom to see. Especially if I found a cute, printed pillowcase.
I love a good exfoliating product. I also love a good DIY beauty tutorial. Put them together, and you’ve got magic. Mint is also one of my favorite scents, it helps invigorate when you’re on the morning shower struggle bus. This could make a great gift, but I’m selfish enough to make a giant batch all for myself.
Which of these is your favorite DIY project? Which one would you most be interested to see me tackle and share on the blog? I would love to hear your input in the comments below!
These are so cute and I love that they're so easy that kids can help make them! #client
the pillow case hamper looks so easy! so i have a sewing machine but i'll take any excuse not to lug it out of the closet and onto my already messy desk… i just revealed a lot about myself didn't i? well, it's a great looking diy!
Sure is! I hope I actually get around to making it lol My desk is a disaster as well. Always is.
Thanks for including our Pillowcase Hamper in your round-up, Bre!
No problem, I'm so excited to give your tutorial a try!
