During the holidays, it can get pretty spendy buying gifts for everyone that you feel deserves one. Not to mention, that awkward moment when you receive a gift from someone but have nothing to give in return. I’m sharing a quick and easy DIY frugal gift that’s perfect for teachers, coaches, and even as stocking stuffers. And it only costs as much as a few packs of gum!
Supplies
- sugar free Extra mint gum (I chose Spearmint and Polar Ice because they’re my favorite)
- baker’s twine
- “Extra Special” free printable
- hole punch
- scissors
- card stock
- computer & printer
Head out to Walmart to purchase your sugar free Extra gum. At under a buck per pack, grab a few so you can bundle them up.
Download the free printable to your computer. Insert white card stock into your printer and print.
*NOTE: This printable is for personal use only. You may not reproduce, re-create, or sell in any way.
Cut out the circles and punch a small hole in the top.
If you would like, you can secure the packs of gum together with a little tape, I just made sure I tied my baker’s twine “extra” tight… hehe. Using about a yard of baker’s twine, lay the twine across the front of the packs. Then turn upside down, twist the twine together and pull it up along the other side of the packs.
Once on the top side again, run the ends of the twine underneath and tie it off in a knot. Then, attach the printable to one end of the baker’s twine (facing up) and complete the bow.
Repeat the process with whatever other flavors you would like. Or… you could make a multi-pack!
Watch the receiver’s eyes light up when they see how thoughtful you were with your handmade gift. And hey, everyone likes gum, you can’t go wrong!
