Couldn't view it Bre, it was coming up private for me 🙁
Eek, forgot to update that. Fixed now, thanks for the heads up!
Oh no worries and I have done this before. Just so happy to get to see your explanation of all things Minnesotan here!! 🙂
HA! Borrow xD When my husband “borrows” things we generally end up keeping it xD Can't say borrow in this house. You'll never see it again 😛
Okay I think now that most people from the US think that Canadians talk like you and there were some similarities. I say crap all the time. Also I borrow stuff. I do not say boat like that though. Nor do I say ruff instead of roof as so many people think.
I actually love your accent. Plus your cute little pea will talk just like you : )
bisous

As a native South Carolinian I understand the deal with accents. Mine always gets worse around family or when drinking. (I secretly think I sound like a southern belle but really I sound like a drunk hick). Love the Vlog!
You're so cute!! I'm a born and raised Minnesotan too!! And we love to go “Up North”. LOL! That is so funny. I never even thought of that as a Minnesotan thing. Too funny! (don'tcha-know)
I have just watched this like 4 times, I love the way you say my name, your accent even makes my abnormal name sound pretty good!! Love your British accent, the first one is rather Cockney and the 2nd one is rather posh and I'm not either. Love you, love your blog, you have literally made my life!!!
Oh my gosh, I totally got tongue tied over saying your name for some reason lol I totally felt like Andy Bernard (US version of The Office) doing a British accent. Love you for inspiring me!
Woot woot! Do you still live in MN?
TOTALLY. Let your accented flag fly 🙂
They sure do. Although it is pretty similar I suppose. And I totally say ruff lol The list of words that I say oddly would be never-ending.
Hehe yep. I was confused by this one but saw it on many different articles and videos about things that Minnesotans say that annoy other people. Hmm.
Yes, in Eden Prairie now. I was born in Southwest MN & went to college at Winona State.
I was born and raised in MN and you are so right in everything you said! Oh and the way they talk in Fargo is NOT how we talk at all! They talk more Canadian. It's ridiculous! Minnesota is amazing. It will always be my home and I will always come back here! It's so cool to learn you are Minnesotan as well. =]
Oh my goodness, you are seriously too funny!! I am super excited that I found your blog!! I could seriously watch your vlog videos all day!! “Literal Translations” was one of my faves!! Your accent at times reminded me of an Irish one, haha! Have you ever got that before? I'm glad you didn't edit the first parts of this video out, you were too funny trying to find the right words 😀
xo,
Shio
Love this post. It makes me want to drive up North and grab some pizza and popcorn with you at Zorbaz!

How cool! Great to meet a fellow Minnesotan blogger 🙂
Yes! I haven't been to Zorbaz in AGES.
Oh that's funny, I've never heard my accent compared to an Irish one lol
True dat. Go Minnesota!
WOOP WOOP! Letting the Minnesota freak flag fly, love going up north! Now I'm curious to see where you live since you said some people consider where you live Up North, I live in the Northern Metro, and I find it hilarious that people make this huge deal of going to “the cities” like it's some big adventure, but maybe that's because I grew up in Burnsville? Ha.
I live in Big Lake, and I know a lot of people have “cabins” on the lake. It's weird to me, but I guess when you come up “from the cities” it's a bit of a drive.
No way! I live in Big Lake township!
